How, and Why, You Should Share Your Content In Dark Times

We live in a garbage world.

And the reason is simple: The people in power are (almost) entirely old white men who won’t live to see the result of their “contributions” to this planet and society.

I don’t think this is going to change any time soon.

The reason is also simple: A General Strike is challenging to organize.

I’m not saying it won’t happen.

I hope it does.

But I am saying I think a General Strike won’t happen in the next ten years.

Ten years is what Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy points to as the timeline for meaningful gun control to come to America.

You know what that means.

Between now and 2032?

There will be a lot more killing.

And the people who enable that killing will continue egging it on comfortably from the sidelines. Free from any repercussions.

So. Listen.

Let’s say that the ten-year timeline is accurate.

And let’s say the planet is still safely inhabitable in ten years.

What you see and are experiencing right now will happen so often that you’ll think it’s almost every day.

And you might even be right.

Do you know what you can do to make things slightly better for your friends and neighbors?

Make and share your art.

Do it as often as you can.

We all know you care about what’s happening in the world.

If you didn’t, we wouldn’t be following you.

That’s why you need to share what you’re working on.

You.

Yes.

You.

Doing so can give people hope.

That’s because rt breeds empathy, and empathy breeds hope.

So, show us what you got.

Share whatever it is you want to share.

Because we’re going to need that hope to hold on to.

Things are not going to get any better from here.
